Rooted in Every Community Across CA-26
Michael S. Koslow was raised to believe that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing right. Growing up in a working-class family, he learned early the value of hard work and personal responsibility, lessons that have stayed with him throughout his life and career. Those values led him into the Air Force and later into a career protecting our country as a national security expert. Today, he is ready to bring that same commitment to service to the people of California’s 26th District.
From the neighborhoods of Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley to the small businesses in Camarillo, the farms in Somis, and the coastal communities of Ventura and Port Hueneme, Michael understands that each part of this district faces its own unique challenges. His career took him across the globe in defense of American ideals, but his focus has always been on protecting the people at home, in communities just like these.
Michael has worn many hats, conflict veteran, federal agent, university professor, and small business owner, but the common thread has always been service. Service to the country, to the community, and to the principles of accountability, transparency, and truth. That experience gives him a practical understanding of how decisions made in Washington impact real people across this district.
He has seen firsthand the pressures facing working families in Oxnard, the burdens placed on small business owners along the 101 corridor, and the challenges veterans face transitioning back into civilian life throughout Ventura County. These are not abstract issues to him. They are the lived experiences of the communities he is committed to representing.
That is why Michael is running for Congress, to bring common sense, accountability, and a servant’s mindset to Washington, and to ensure that every community in CA-26, no matter how large or small, has a voice that is heard and a representative who delivers.
A Life of Service, Grounded in Family and Community
Michael Koslow is not just a lifelong public servant, he is a husband, a father, and an active member of the communities he calls home. Living in Los Angeles County, he has spent decades serving both in and out of uniform, staying closely connected to the families, neighborhoods, and local organizations that make up California’s 26th District. That perspective gives him a clear understanding of the everyday challenges people face, from rising costs to concerns about safety and opportunity.
His commitment to community is not theoretical. Michael has supported youth development and local leadership through his work with organizations like the Boy Scouts of America in Ventura County, where he served on the Executive Board helping guide programs focused on character, responsibility, and leadership. He has also consistently supported efforts that strengthen veterans, small businesses, and underserved communities across the district.
At its core, Michael’s approach to leadership is rooted in personal responsibility and a belief in strengthening the institutions that hold communities together: family, faith, education, and local engagement. He’s already demonstrated this leadership here at home, and he will bring that same commitment to Washington.
A Lifetime of Service to the Communities of CA-26
Michael Koslow’s career has always centered on service. From leading airmen in uniform to investigating government corruption at the federal level, he has spent more than four decades protecting this country and the communities that make up California’s 26th District.
Military Leadership That Serves CA-26
As a highly decorated veteran and retired California State Command Chief Master Sergeant in the California Air National Guard, Michael Koslow was responsible for more than 4,300 service members across 13 locations statewide. He led missions ranging from over-water rescues along our coast to air defense, space operations, and intelligence efforts that protected communities like Ventura, Oxnard, and the surrounding region.
Shaping Policy with Local Impact
Michael’s service extended beyond operations into shaping national and international policy. In Washington, DC, he advised senior Department of Defense leaders on global strategy and security. Here in California, he was entrusted by state leadership with major initiatives in defense planning and disaster response, work that directly impacts communities from Ventura and Port Hueneme to Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. He also represented the United States abroad, working with Ukrainian officials through the Partnership for Peace program to strengthen international security and protect American interests at home.
Fighting Fraud and Corruption to Protect CA-26
Following his military service, Michael continued his work as a Senior Special Agent with the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, leading investigations into billion-dollar defense contracts, military contractors, and healthcare institutions alongside the FBI and other federal agencies. His mission was clear: protect taxpayers, stop corruption, and ensure public funds were used as intended. Today, that same focus continues through his role leading efforts to identify fraud, waste, and abuse within the CAL DOGE initiative. From Ventura and Oxnard to Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley, that experience translates directly into a commitment to protect the resources and communities that make up CA-26.
Educating and Advising with a Focus on CA-26
Michael has shared his expertise as a counterintelligence advisor to the U.S. Space and Missile Systems Command and as a guest instructor at the Defense Acquisition University, helping train the next generation of national security leaders. Today, he continues that work by advising congressional and local civic leaders on complex policy issues that impact communities across CA-26, from Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley to Ventura, Oxnard, and Camarillo, bringing practical insight to real-world challenges.
Results for CA-26, Not Rhetoric
Michael’s career is not built on titles or talking points, it is built on results, leadership, and integrity. For more than 40 years, he has focused on solving real problems and protecting the people he serves. Now, he is ready to bring that same commitment to communities across CA-26, from Ventura and Oxnard to Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley, delivering results that matter locally.
Why This Campaign Matters to CA-26 Communities
For more than four decades, service has meant protecting this nation, whether leading airmen in complex missions, investigating corruption that impacts taxpayers, or defending American security abroad. That same sense of duty now drives a new mission: delivering accountable, principled leadership for the communities that make up California’s 26th District.
From the coastal neighborhoods of Ventura and Port Hueneme to the small businesses in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks, from the working families in Oxnard to the agricultural communities in Somis and Fillmore, each part of this district faces its own challenges. Rising costs, public safety concerns, pressures on small businesses, and decisions made far from home that directly impact daily life are not abstract issues. They are real, and they are felt differently in every community.
Too often, Washington loses sight of that. The focus shifts from solutions to headlines, and political battles take priority over the needs of the people. That approach is not working for CA-26.
This campaign is about restoring accountability and bringing a results-driven approach back to representation. Leadership requires more than words. It requires the experience to navigate complex systems, the discipline to follow through, and the judgment to make decisions that reflect the people you represent. Those lessons were built over a lifetime of service, in uniform, in federal law enforcement, and in the private sector.
The people of this district deserve a representative who understands what is happening on the ground, in Simi Valley, Moorpark, Santa Paula, and every community in between. Veterans, first responders, parents, teachers, small business owners, and working families deserve someone who listens, who shows up, and who delivers.
That is the mission. Service over politics. Accountability over excuses. Results that matter in the communities that make up CA-26.
With your support, we can ensure this district has a voice that is heard and leadership that follows through.
Putting CA-26 Communities First
Leadership That Starts in Our Communities
Leadership, to me, has always been simple: mission first, people always. That mindset was shaped over decades of service, but it applies just as much in Camarillo, Oxnard, and Thousand Oaks as it does anywhere else.
Every community across CA-26 is different. What matters in Santa Paula is not always the same as what matters in Simi Valley or Ventura. Leadership means listening first, understanding those differences, and then delivering results that actually reflect the people who live there. It also means treating people with respect, being fair in decision-making, and recognizing that strong communities are built by the individuals who make them work every day.
Grounded in Local Priorities, Guided by American Principles
The people of CA-26 want many of the same things: safe neighborhoods, the ability to build a business, raise a family, and move forward without unnecessary barriers. That is what American principles are supposed to protect.
Whether it is a small business owner along the 101 corridor, a family in Moorpark dealing with rising costs, or a farmer in Somis working through regulatory challenges, the role of government should be to support opportunity, not stand in the way of it. That means protecting individual rights, preserving freedom of speech, and ensuring people can succeed through hard work.
These are not abstract ideas. They are the foundation for how this district lives and works every day.
Accountability That Delivers Results Locally
Accountability is not a talking point. It is a standard.
Too often, we see programs announced with no follow-through, no measurement, and no real outcomes. Whether it is homelessness in Ventura, infrastructure challenges in Oxnard, or cost pressures across the district, the pattern is the same: promises without results.
That has to change.
Every policy, every program, and every decision should be measured by one thing, does it actually work for the people it is supposed to serve? If it does not, it should be fixed or replaced. That is how you build trust, and that is how you deliver real results.
Focused on Solutions, Not Politics
The issues facing CA-26 are not new, but they require a different approach.
Instead of repeating the same conversations, the focus needs to be on solutions that are tested, refined, and improved over time. That means addressing real concerns like affordability, public safety, and economic opportunity with practical steps that can be measured and adjusted.
From coastal communities like Port Hueneme to inland areas like Newbury Park and Fillmore, people are looking for progress they can actually see. That is where the focus will be.
Restoring Common Sense Representation
What sets this campaign apart is not rhetoric. It is a commitment to showing up, listening, and following through.
Across CA-26, there is a clear sense that communities have been overlooked or grouped together without real attention to their individual needs. That is not representation.
This campaign is about restoring a sense of focus so that every city, every neighborhood, and every community has a voice. It is about making sure decisions made in Washington translate into real impact here at home.
A Campaign Built Across CA-26
The path forward is not complicated, but it does require effort, consistency, and support.
This campaign is already being built community by community, from Ventura to Simi Valley, from Camarillo to Santa Paula. It is focused on connecting with people directly, understanding what matters most, and building momentum that reflects the district as a whole.
I am Michael Koslow. My focus is simple: serve the people of CA-26, deliver results that matter locally, and ensure this district is represented with the seriousness and attention it deserves.
